We were at the Blue Scorcher again. It was much busier. Most table spots were full.1 The staff, a bit surprised, overwhelmed yet steely determined,2 were moving about handing out soups and sandwiches.3

I have another good name for the bread collective:
The *baked* Bread Collective.

As I have appointed myself the official scribe to the bread collective, yesterday Sean reported that the bread collective (still no name, they were thinking of *LifeBoat*) fired up the ovens and made their first set of *oat-cakes*, a local Astoria favorite. They will be on sale this tuesday at the Food Co-op.
